Italian manufacturer TurboPower makes some really nice hair dryer products that are available for a very reasonable price. This quieter hair dryer from them definitely fits into that category. It does not have all the bells and whistles that some hair drivers have but it still does a very good job helping you to dry and style any type of hair.
It is fairly quiet too for a hair dryer that does not have any expensive motor quieting technology in it too. We will review the Turbo Power Twin Turbo 2600 Hair Dryer here so you can learn a little bit more about it.
Taking a Quick Look at Turbo Power Twin Turbo 2600 Hair Dryer
Here is a peak at the pros and cons you get when you buy this lower noise level hair dryer:
Pros:
- 1700 watt drying power
- Italian made
- Mid-range 87-decibel noise level
- 2 speed/4 temperature settings
- 2000 hour motor life
- Nickel Chrome Heating Element
Cons:
- Disappointing 1-year warranty
- Slightly heavy for some users
Turbo Power Twin Turbo 2600 Hair Dryer’s Key Characteristics
The TurboPower Twin Turbo 2600 Hair Dryer has a nicely powered 1700 watt motor. That is enough to generate some serious heat and airflow. It will work well on all but the thickest and curliest hair types (not recommended for thick, kinky hair). This is a mid-range dryer as far as noise level goes at 87 decibels.
You get some nice versatility with this hair dryer too. It features 2 airspeed settings and 4 different temperature settings. You can play around with the different combinations and easily find a setting that works well on just about any type of hair.
It also has such other very useful features as an overheat protection switch, a removable ling trap to help keep the airflow strong and a shock resistant tough thermoplastic outer body. It comes with a full one-year warranty from the manufacturer too.
The Signature Feature on the Turbo Power Twin Turbo 2600 Hair Dryer
This hair dryer is built tough, to say the least. It will definitely hold up well in a salon environment and does not have a lot of fancy electronic features which often fail anyway. It has a very durable and shockproof poly plastic body and its motor life is rated at over 2000 hours. This dryer should last you a very long time for the very fair price that you will pay for it.
Areas That Could Use Improvement with Turbo Power Twin Turbo 2600
There are a few concerns we have with this product. One of them is its weight. It weighs over 2 pounds and if you factor in the heavy duty power cord it weighs even more than that. That means if you are a salon professional you may get tired out quicker using this hair dryer. This should not be a factor for those that purchase it for home use.
Another disappointment with this hair drying is the fact that it only comes backed up by a one-year warranty. It’s a quality product that is by no means a budget hair dryer. It would be good if TurboPower extended the warranty by a year or two.
It also does not have any negative ion technology to help dry your hair faster or prevent hair damage like split ends.
Review Summary
This is not considered to be a budget-priced blow dryer but it’s not far from that. Considering it’s made in Italy where many of the best hair care products come from it’s a real bargain as far as medium quality hair dryers go. Although some things as its short warranty, slightly heavy feel and lack of ionic technology are a disappointment there is still much to like about it.
It has some nice power and there are also several different airspeed and heat settings you can use it at. This hair dryer is also fairly quiet and designed to be easy to use as you are blow drying yours or another person’s hair. It’s definitely a model worth considering if you want an Italian made hair dryer but don’t want to spend a fortune on it.
